Making EdTech Last: Jon Roepke of Belkin Talks Tech Protection and Management

Every day, classrooms expand their technology usage. Laptops, tablets, and other tech instruments are implemented to help supplement and enrich the learning experience. But in k-12 classrooms, affordable tech like Chromebooks and iPads are still likely to get damaged, and an uncharged laptop could spark chaos.

To tackle Murphy’s Law, Belkin focuses on the management and protection of technology in classrooms, providing everything from power strips to Chromebook cases. They even won an award for their for their Air Shield Protective Case for Chromebook at ISTE last year.

Monday, Belkin announced that they will be unveiling two new classroom products at this year’s ISTE conference in hopes of earning a repeat win. The two new products are the Store and Charge Go, a storage unit that can charge up to ten devices at a time, and the Rockstar 10-Port USB-Charging Station, a 10-outlet power hub “compatible with any combination of USB-charging compatible classroom devices.”
