Education and Technology in Rwanda

It’s World Teachers’ Day!

Education is the key to success in life, and teachers make a lasting impact in the lives of their students. – Solomon Ortiz

Today in the U.S. and 100 other countries in the world, UNESCO is celebrating its 16th annual World Teachers’ Day to honor the contributions of teachers to education and child development everywhere. We may usually focus on education technology and what it can do for education, but teachers are ultimately the foundation to a child’s education and their guide to scholastic success. Through their lessons, students find encouragement and passion for new and unique ideas that ultimately take the world forward.

UNESCO focuses on not only highlighting the achievement of educators everywhere, they also look at the challenges facing global education. Their campaign slogan for this year is: “empowering teachers, building sustainable societies.”
