Twitter Data Grants for Free and Easy Access to Twitter Data Sets

Twitter Inc. announced a pilot program that will grant access of Twitter’s data sets to researchers. According to the company’s blog post, Twitter Data Grants will give “selected institutions free and easy access to Twitter data sets.” Twitter’s effort will also give researchers a chance to collaborate with the company’s engineers and researchers.

Twitter has already served a resource for scholars studying everything from cigarettes to politics. The deadline to submit a proposal for consideration to the Twitter Data Grants pilot program is March 15.
