GroupLink’s HelpDesk now available free to schools

Last week we told you about Help Desk Premiere’s announcement to offer its software, complete with a perpetual software license for an unlimited number of users and features free until the end of 2012.

The GroupLink Corporation is now following suit and offering a version of its help desk software, everything HelpDesk, free to K-12 schools and higher education institutions. The Bountiful, Utah company is also offering a free, fully functional 30-day trial version of everything HelpDesk in the cloud.

According to the company, the free version is deemed a “lite” version and is suitable for school districts and colleges seeking a “simple inexpensive software solution.” The on-premise software is ad free and allows for free upgrades with no restrictions, contracts or expiry dates. Also included is 60 days of free consultation, support and training. The trial of the cloud based version gives institutions the opportunity to test the product before deciding whether it needs a more robust feature set.
