Educational publisher Pearson
announced last week it is buying developer, marketer and distributor of certification exams for IT and digital literacy skills Certiport for $140 million cash from Spire Capital Partners. The acquisition is expected to futther Pearson VUE’s product range and geographic reach, and to support Pearson VUE’s expansion into international markets, as more than half of Utah based Certiport’s revenue comes from outside North America.
