4 Professional Development Tools Showcase at ISTE

Four platforms showcased at this year’s International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference presented simplicity in curating and administering professional development. These four companies include: Knowledge Delivery Systems, LearnZillion, Review360, and Lynda.com. Knowledge Delivery Systems debuted its new Professional Learning Platform that aggregates content, social collaboration, and personalization tools. KDS recently raised $9.8 million from investors such as Edison Ventures and has partnered with the National Education Association. LearnZillion, a company founded by a former principal and teacher, is a professional development and lesson planning resource for 2-12 educators. Their new premium version provides full lesson plans that model high-quality instruction. Review360 is a student behavior management platform, which was acquired by Pearson two years ago. The platform allows for teachers to develop best practices in improving student behavior. Finally, Lynda.com used to stay in the higher education  market, but has recently created courses for the K-12 market. Their professional development uses include the ability for administrators to curate course playlists and be able to view learning matrixes of current progress.
