Crisis App Gets Larger Audience with Blackboard

In Case of Crisis, a startup from Herndon, VA, integrated its emergency app into Mosaic, Blackboard‘s mobile platform. This enables “college students, faculty, and staff the ability to deal with emergencies such as fire, weather, and campus crimes”. The app works on iOS and Android devices, and will have the institution’s emergency plan living in the platform. In Case of Crisis was created in 2012 because founder, Anna Ryan, saw the need for immediate access to instructions during emergency situations, especially after her team was evacuated from their Pentagon offices due to an Anthrax scare.
