Udacity raises a staggering $15M in Series B funding
Udacity, an online education startup focused on bringing high quality, university level education worldwide for free, has announced they’ve raised an absolutely staggering $15M in Series B funding led by heavy hitting VC firm Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Udacity’s previous investors, Charles River Ventures and Steve Blank. This investment brings the startup’s total funding to $21M.
Udacity plans to use the funding to support the continued development, expand into mobile apps, and introduce adaptive learning techniques to its platform.
Additionally, as part of the funding, educator, tech exec, and general partner at Andreessen Horowitz Peter Levine is joining Udacity’s board of directors.
