New Jenzabar Software widget brings course browsing to Facebook
Jenzabar®, Inc. has announced announced today that Emory Continuing Education (ECE) and California State University San Marcos (CSSM) have gone live on the Jenzabar Higher ReachTM widget that integrates with Facebook. Through the widget, prospective students browse and shop for continuing education offerings from within the social networking site. These institutions are the first to use the tool.
Both institutions use Jenzabar Higher Reach, a continuing education platform aligned with the complex needs of continuing education, certificate, and workforce development programs. The widget is a feature within Jenzabar Higher Reach that allows higher education institutions to create a Facebook application that connects the course catalog with the unit’s Facebook page.
Jenzabar’s widget allows ECE and CSSM to bring the course catalog directly to the Facebook social media environment where prospects can search programs and instantly enroll. The widget is intended to make the search process simple, providing the information students are seeking directly on the worlds most popular social media platform.
“Jenzabar Higher Reach provides Emory Continuing Education and California State University San Marcos with the tools needed to stay focused on continuing education-specific goals,” said Chris Hartigan, Jenzabar Vice President and General Manager, Continuing Education Business Unit. “Social shopping, particularly on Facebook, has gained widespread acceptance across consumer businesses. By bringing our continuing education platform together with Facebook, our clients now have even greater reach for their programs and offerings that will help them maximize their enrollment and revenue goals.”
