Apple’s rumored iPad Mini event to place particular emphasis on placing device in schools
Sources close to Apple tell Bloomberg that tomorrow’s Apple event will not only announce the launch of the long rumoured 7-inch iPad, dubbed, for now, the iPad Mini, but will also place particular emphasis on the pint-sized tablet’s roll in education.
Apple hopes that the smaller tablets anticipated $249 price tag, in addition to an already large selection of apps and services, will be the tipping point in a push to secure lucrative district contracts to put technology in classrooms.
