Do music lessons make you smarter? (infographic)
Scientific studies have proven time and time again that music education helps to develop smarter, more successful students who grow into more productive adults. In fact, thought leaders from Leonardo Da Vinci and Benjamin Franklin to Condoleezza Rice and Bill Clinton all share the common bond of a solid music education foundation.
Recent findings support past research, which states that music lessons contribute to improved math and reading skills as well as higher test scores. In fact, students who were tested before and after engaging in music training increased their IQ score by an average of 6.3 points after lessons had taken place.
