Atomic Learning now offering PD course on using iPods & iPads in special ed

Atomic Learning’s Atomic Catalyst solution has recently added a new professional development course featuring techniques for using mobile technology in special education entitled “iPod/iPad Use for Students with Special Needs”. Participants will walk away with an implementation plan for a student or classroom to ensure successful use of this technology.

Centered around the timely topics of Common Core Standards or the use of mobile devices in the classroom, every six-week Atomic Catalyst PD course includes a weekly instructional webinar led by a highly-qualified facilitator, as well as online resources, collaborative discussions and facilitator feedback to help teachers build and apply new strategies and skills.

The “iPod/iPad Use for Students with Special Needs” course starts on November 7 and runs until December 19, with weekly webinars on Wednesdays.  2- and 3-credit options for grad credit upon completion of the course are available through a partnership with Learner’s Edge.

Courses entitled “Transforming Classroom Lesson to Teach Common Core Standards” and “Going Mobile” are also offered. To learn more or register for any of these courses, check out Atomic Learning.
