Social online trading platform SprinkleBit launches SprinkleBit University
Alexander Wallin created SprinkleBit, a social virtual trading platform while working on a graduate degree at the University of California, San Diego. His mission was to give novice investors a set of tools and resources to make informed financial decisions on the road to building a strong stock portfolio.
This week, the company has kicked up its effort to educate by announcing the opening of SprinkleBit University. The university will offer a curriculum with modules like “Finding Your Investment Objective” and “Understanding Risk”, as well as overviews of various sectors and industries.
SprinkleBit provides things like a market simulator, fantasy trading league, and a social media component that allows users observe transactions and learn from other traders moves. To the social media end, users can also view portfolios, follow other invetostors to see the motovation behinf their actions, and even ask for tips and/or engage in discussion. Additionally, the “voting power index” which uses crowd sourcing to provide insight into the stock market, aims to serve as a virtual advisor for day traders.
