Achieve300 makes several new appointments to leadership team

Achieve3000, provider of online literacy products has announced the addition of two members to its senior leadership team: James O’Neill, Chief Product Officer; and David Samuelson, Chief Marketing Officer. Both will report to CEO and Co-founder Saki Dodelson.

O’Neill brings more than 16 years of experience in developing and marketing leading educational products and solutions. Prior to joining Achieve3000, he held the positions of Senior Vice President of Product Management and Strategy and Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management and Strategy at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. In these roles, he was responsible for product management, marketing and market research for pre-K through grade 12 and helped to develop comprehensive and specialized solutions across all curriculum areas. O’Neill also previously held product development and marketing positions at National Geographic School Publishing, McDougal Littell and Pearson Education.

Samuelson joins Achieve3000 from Pearson, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President of Games and Augmented Reality as part of the central digital strategy team for Pearson plc. He has more than 20 years of educational technology development and marketing experience, including 15 years at Pearson serving in a variety of change agent roles such as President of Global Schools, Chief Marketing Officer and Product Strategist for Pearson’s U.S. School division, and Vice President of the Family Education Network. Before joining Pearson, Samuelson was Vice President for product development both at Living Books (a joint venture between Broderbund and Random House) and MECC, maker of The Oregon Trail.
