Patron Company acquires MyVRSpot to expand services for schools
The Patron Company, developers of socially responsible e-commerce networks, announces today the acquisition of MyVRSpot from FTC Family of Companies to expand its suite of services for schools. The company will continue to operate MyVRSpot, the leading educational multimedia-sharing site with more than 1.2 million users, and plans to create a blended offering this fall.
The Patron Company has created and manages more than 2,900 custom online platforms for schools. Its flagship service, Patron Store is an expandable e-commerce platform that helps schools increase parental and community involvement, while raising funds with minimal time and resource investment. The platform fosters an online network of education supporters and provides a revenue model for schools to fund mission-critical technologies.
“We are bringing together our innovative fundraising network with the vibrant online community and engaging technologies in MyVRSpot to create a self-sustaining, scalable model for 21st century education,” said Roy Rose, CEO of the Patron Company. “Schools will soon have equitable access to effective technology resources that prepare students for college and their future careers.”
