Lightspeed Systems to launch new cloud based mobility solution for K-12
Lightspeed Systems is excited to announce the upcoming release of a new cloud-based solution developed specifically for education. The solution will allow schools to effectively develop and support mobile device programs to ensure successful learning outcomes. Combining mobile device management, content filtering, and hosted email, the solution will be a comprehensive and easy-to-use way for budget and time constrained schools to manage iPad deployments large or small.
Mobile device programs are becoming powerful learning strategies in today’s schools and more and more districts are using iPads as dynamic and engaging learning tools. These devices allow for 24/7 learning, increased collaboration, up-to-date digital textbooks, and teaching responsible digital citizenship. However, in order to ensure the iPad and other devices are beneficial classroom tools and not just distractions, the devices need to be filtered for safe, appropriate student use. In addition, with shrinking budgets and staffs, districts need to be able to easily manage those deployments. Developed with direct input from educators, the new solution will provide districts with an easy-to-use SAAS solution to ensure effective iPad management, provide filtered content, and promote safe email communication.
