YogiPlay’s new “YogiMeter” has educators rating children’s learning apps
The Stanford trained Sellins, a husband and wife engineering team were inspired to start their Menlo Park CA company, YogiPlay, by watching their 2 year old play with mobile apps and realizing what powerful learning tools they could be. YogiPlay’s purpose is to curate great apps for kids and give parents a single destination to find the ones that are age-appropriate for their children. The startup recently raised $1m in funding with the intent of developing a rating system for educational apps. The end result is YogiMeter, a new app rating system designed to help parents find learning apps for children that have been vetted by a team of educational experts.
