Holy Apostles College to offer its first MOOCs

Through a partnership with Edvance360 and the Catholic Distance Learning Network, this fall, the Holy Apostles College and Seminary will begin to offer its first MOOCs (massive online open courses). The two certification programs include Online Teaching & Learning, and Teaching Research Design.  Holy Apostles College and Seminary is not new to the online game, as the Connecticut based school already offers two online master of arts programs covering theology and philosophy as well as online coursework for undergraduate level students.

Students can take one or both MOOC’s at no cost, and the material will also be made available to Catholic seminaries, high schools, and some non-Catholic theological schools.

Upon completion of one or both courses, students will receive a certificate of completion issued by the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) for continuing education units.
