Lincoln Interactive powers new Indiana Cyber Charter School

The Indiana Cyber Charter School (IN Cyber), a new statewide, online learning program for K-12 students in Indiana and based in Schererville, is now enrolling for the 2012-2013 school year. Indiana Cyber is a public school option open to all Indianastudents in kindergarten through 12th grade. IN Cyber offers students innovative and individualized educational opportunities, designed to enable every student to succeed.

“We are excited to provide the students of Indiana with an educational experience that is committed to their development and success,” said Indiana Cyber Charter School Board President, Jan Myers. “IN Cyber provides student-centered services, the highest quality educators, and leading technology to provide students with academic opportunities that go beyond the confines and curriculum found in many traditional K-12 settings.”

Indiana Cyber features the nation’s leading online curriculum, Lincoln Interactive. Used by thousands of students worldwide, Lincoln Interactive offers more than 250 courses, allowing students to personalize their education based on their wants and needs. Lincoln Interactive utilizes 21st century technology—interactive videos, games, 3-D graphics, language labs, and flash animation— to provide an innovative learning experience for every student. Lincoln Interactive offers students several unique course options including the STEM focused Cutting Edge Science courses, extensive world languages and elective courses, and Little Lincoln, the nation’s leading online elementary curriculum.

Additionally, high school students enrolled in IN Cyber will have the opportunity to earn college credit through Trine University’s Middle College program. This dual enrollment program allows students to take courses that count for both high school and college credit by attending classes through the virtual school.
