Are schools ready for technological shift to online assessments?

New online summative assessments and tests being created by two major consortia will  debut in 2014-2015 in more than 40 states.  The assessments, being developed by the  Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) and the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC), will be based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and will address higher-order thinking skills, problem solving, and other more rigorous standards.

The Journal reports on the technological challenges in moving to online assessments.
